From our hands to our homeland.
Maison de Madagascar connects handmade craft in Madagascar with our shop in Athens. This travel journal opens another door to the country behind our raffia bags, hats and home pieces.
Speak with Dany about what draws you to the island. An artisan encounter? Time in nature? A few quiet days by the sea?

Three ways to imagine your journey
Choose a starting point. Each itinerary is an idea to discuss and adapt, with arrangements still to be confirmed.

Artisans & Highlands
Follow the thread from natural fibres to skilled hands. Discover Madagascar through craft, conversations and the landscapes of the Highlands.

Nature & Andasibe
Slow down, listen to the forest and discover another side of Madagascar. Combine nature walks with time in the capital and an introduction to local craft.

Nosy Be & Island Days
Turquoise water, island horizons and time to breathe. Imagine a slower stay around Nosy Be, with optional excursions and plenty of unplanned moments.
Make room for meaningful encounters.
Ask about meeting artisans and seeing how natural materials become everyday objects. Workshop visits depend on the makers’ availability and need prior agreement.
Take time, ask before taking photographs and respect the work happening around you. Buying directly from a maker can be a memorable part of the journey.
Before you make plans
Not yet. These are sample itineraries and an invitation to enquire. A named organiser, dates, accommodation, transport, prices and booking terms must be confirmed before you make any travel commitment. No travel payments are accepted here.
